The Rodin Pavilion, built between 1882 and 1888, is all that remains of the old Brussels military hospital. First seen as a model of its kind and state-of-the-art until 1914, it was left abandoned in 1974 before being demolished to make room for a large number of furnished apartments and offices in 1995-2005. Memories of old have today been revived with a friendly, contemporary restaurant in a iconic setting in Brussels.

Above all, we wanted to conserve the warm and welcoming nature of its original architecture. The bare brick walls and open spaces have been retained so that the public can experience how this grand building was in former times. The initial drawings are on display here and there on the walls of the restaurant. A flavour of Brooklyn in Brussels !

Polished concrete, industrial lighting, flashy logo and colourful menus are features of our 2017 décor. An ideal atmosphere for relaxing and catching up with friends. It is also the perfect place to work: unlimited WiFi, numerous sockets, excellent coffee and tea and even a meeting room for 2 to 16 people.

With its wood stove in the winter, large garden in the summer and sunroom that can be enjoyed all year round, the Comptoir Rodin, a stone’s throw away from the Place Flagey, the Ixelles Cemetery and the European quarter, is sure to quickly become your new HQ!

Children are also more than welcome: high chairs, a baby changing table, a garden in which to play, board games in a  soundproofed  environment  are available.
